On the evening of March 26, Dr. LI Erping and Dr. MA Hao, Dean and Vice Dean of ZJU-UIUC, held a talk with student representatives from Classes of 2017 and 2018 at the engineering building. Student tutors of all grades also attended the meeting. The talk provided an opportunity for the deans to communicate with students face-to-face and learn about their experiences of studying and living on campus. Through receiving direct feedback from students, the talk aimed at improving the quality of education and student services on campus.

The deans asked about student’s learning and living experiences in detail, with a focus on the pacing in classes and the arrangement of class assignments. The student representatives also shared their insights on topics such as elective courses, classroom teaching, interdisciplinary training, P.E. courses, scientific research and contest, and summer internship. The deans shared their insights on the above topics and responded to students’ inquiries and concerns.

ZJU-UIUC Institute strives to provide high-quality education and services that meet the needs of students. The talk with Deans is one of many other ways of connecting with students and getting their voices heard. The institute aims at optimizing the utilization of educational resources to help students achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals.
