On October 3-4, Prof. He Lianzhen, Vice President of Zhejiang University, and Prof. Li Erping, Dean of ZJUI, visited the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and had many talks and multi-level exchanges on comprehensively deepening the cooperation between the two sides.On the morning of October 4th, Vice President He Lianzhen and Dean Li Erping held a meeting with Dean Tamer Basar, Executive Vice President Martin Wong, and Deans and Deputy Deans of the partner departments. They had an in-depth exchange of ideas on how to further deepen the cooperation.The two sides have reached a lot of consensus on the operation, teaching, and recruitment of high-level teachers of the Joint College.On the same day, UIUC President Professor Robert Jones and Provost Professor Andreas Cangellaries met with President He and Dean Li, and proposed new ideas and plans for the future of the two universities in undergraduate teaching.President Robert Jones spoke highly of the long-standing and strong partnership between UIUC and Zhejiang University and gladly accepted the invitation to lead a delegation to visit Zhejiang University in March next year.
