On October 31, Prof. YOE Kiat Seng, Associate Provost of Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) paid a visit to the International Campus. Dean Li Erping had a meeting with the SUTD delegation led by Prof. YOE Kiat Seng, and the representatives from the Faculty of Information Technology, College of Information Science & Electronic Engineering and ZJUI were present at the meeting.

       Dean Li first briefed the guests on the International Campus and ZJUI, and elaborated on the education, discipline development, student enrollment goals and the five-year development plan of ZJUI. Dean Li expressed the hope to cooperate with SUTD in advancing the research in pioneering scientific areas. Prof. YOE Kiat Seng pointed out that SUTD was a young university, but in recent years, it was becoming a world-class university through the cooperation with MIT and ZJU. He hoped that the cooperation between SUTD and ZJU would be further deepened by leveraging the International Campus as a platform, and recognized ZJUI’s development plan.

       After the meeting, Prof. YOE Kiat Seng and other delegation members made a site tour to the Learning and Teaching Building, the Residential College and the Student Center. The delegation showered praises on the planning and development of the International Campus.

       On November 1, Prof. Urban Westergren, Deputy Director of International Affairs, Prof. He Yingfang, Assistant Vice President of International Affairs, and Prof. Andrew Martin, Director of Department of Energy Technology from Kungliga Tekniska högskolan (KTH), as well as the representatives from College of Energy Engineering, ZJU, visited ZJUI. Dean Li Erping received the delegation. The two sides exchanged ideas. Dean Li hoped that KTH would leverage its resources to help ZJUI recruit quality faculty members and enhance ZJUI’s international reputation. After the meeting, the KTH delegation made a tour around the International Campus.
