On September 21, 2016, a four-member delegation from Southern University of Science and Technology led by Lu Chun, Associate Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and Hou Shengtao, Vice Director of the International Cooperation Department made a study tour to ZJUI to investigate the construction and international cooperation in education of the International Campus. 

Fu Qiang, Assistant President of Zhejiang University met the delegation at the VIP Room of the Residential College, and briefed the delegation on the history, educational philosophy, educational model and construction of the International Campus. After the meeting, the delegation made a site tour to the Residential College and around the campus. Li Erping, Dean of ZJUI and Wang Yufen, Director of Student Affairs Department attended the meeting.

Then, the delegation, escorted by Dean Li Erping, visited ZJUI, and participated in a meeting at Room 409 of Arts and Science Building. Assistant Dean Elaine Chen, Assistant Dean Qiang Lu, and Director of the Administrative Office Tony Zhou were present at the meeting. During the meeting, Dean Li gave an overview of ZJUI, and the two sides exchanged ideas on student education, international cooperation in education and future plans.

On the afternoon of September 22, 2016, Distinguished Professor Cui Tianhong, Director of the Facilitating Team for International Cooperation in Education, Professor Cong Fengyu, Vice Director of the Facilitating Team for International Cooperation in Education and Wang Jue, Vice Director of the Department of International Cooperation from Dalian University of Technology visited ZJUI and participated in a meeting on international cooperation in education. Dean Li Erping chaired the meeting, and Director of the Administrative Office Tony Zhou attended the meeting. Dean Li first briefed the guests on the educational philosophy, operating mechanism of the International Campus and the operation of ZJUI. The two sides then discussed such issues as student education, construction of the International Campus, international cooperation in education and international exchanges. After the meeting, the guests made a site tour around the campus.

       Dean Li expressed the hope that ZJUI could have more exchanges with Southern University of Science and Technology and Dalian University of Technology, and draw on experiences from each other for better international cooperation in education.
