May 22 to 24, Dean of ZJUI Li Erping, Vice Dean Ma Hao, Assistant Dean Lu qiang and other ZJUI administrator were invited to visit the University of Illinois, at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), to deepen strategic cooperation and discuss the next stage of cooperation.

During the visit, the ZJUI delegation was warmly received by UIUC Chancellor Robert Jones. Chancellor Jones highly affirmed the achievements of ZJUI in the past three years and expressed hope that the achievements of ZJUI could benefit Zhejiang University and UIUC more and raise the level and prestige of the two universities. Dean Li thanked for the Chancerllor’s concern and support of ZJUI, “We will further absorb the advantages of ZJU and UIUC, refine the features of ZJUI, and accelerate the internationalization and specialization of ZJUI.”Dean Li states.

During the communication with leaders of the Grainger College of Engineering and relevant departments, the two sides had in-depth communication and exchanges on a series of key issues such as teaching affairs, student education, and cooperation in the next stage. During the visit, Dean Li and ZJUI delegation also visited the junior students who were exchange in UIUC.
