In addition to establishing innovation and entrepreneurship platforms, in the course design, ZJUI also pays attention to cultivating students' innovation and entrepreneurship ability, as well as their understanding of the industry forefront and cognition of the business society.

In ZJUI's Senior Design course, apart from stimulating students' inspiration and guiding students to complete interdisciplinary creative design, the course also pays attention to the development of students' innovation, entrepreneurship awareness and business thinking. At the initiative of Assist Prof. Mark Butala, one of the faculty members in charge of the senior design course in the spring semester of 2023, together with International Business School, Zhejiang University (ZIBS), brought two specially invited reports focusing on the forefront of the industry and stimulating entrepreneurial vitality to the graduating class, empowering innovation and laying foundation for the future.

Entrepreneurship: A Journey Full of Self-exploration

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on February 25, CHEN Bining, the Deputy Secretary-General of ELITE EAGLE and CEO of Qihe Technology Company, was invited to attend the senior design class of ZJUI. Taking "Entrepreneurship: A Journey Full of Self-exploration" as the topic, she told the students her story of innovation and entrepreneurship, shared the speech and communication skills, as well as the difficulties and corresponding solutions encountered in the product from engineering design to commercial promotion.

Carry Out Global Business Operation for Patents

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on March 10, WANG Zhitao, the president of IPwe China and deputy director of China Legal English Corpus Professional Committee, was invited to the senior design class of ZJUI. WANG Zhitao has more than 17 years of experience in Internet operation and patent operation, and has rich project operation practice in big data, artificial intelligence, and other fields. By sharing the actual cases of IPwe's global business operation for patents, he introduced the efficient patent operation and globalization, localization management and delivery model to the students, helping them develop the awareness of intellectual property protection and improve patent operation and maintenance skills.

After listening to the lectures, students were greatly encouraged and had more confidence to move from campus to innovation and entrepreneurship. The times call for innovation and entrepreneurship. Carrying out innovation and entrepreneurship education, is not only an important measure to deepen the teaching reform of higher education, but also a necessary action to help students go in the forefront of the times and become the leaders of the times. By inviting industry experts into the classroom and building an innovation and entrepreneurship education platform, ZJUI aims to stimulate and explore students' enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship, understand new trends in science and technology development and new opportunities for entrepreneurship, enhance students' innovation and entrepreneurship ability, and indicate the direction forward for future learning and entrepreneurship.
