The ZJUI Junior Faculty Teaching Exchange and Competition was held successfully in the afternoon of October 14th, 2022. The competition was intended to augment faculty teaching, encourage junior faculty to update education and teaching ideology, and improve teaching effects as well as education quality.
Prof. Der-Horng LEE, Dean of ZJUI, Prof. MA Hao, Vice Dean of ZJUI, Prof. WANG Hongwei, Vice Dean of ZJUI, LU Qiang, Assistant Dean of ZJUI, Associate Prof. Fangwei SHAO, and Associate Prof. ZHU Tingju served as the judges of the competition. Associate Prof. Fangwei SHAO presided over the competition and introduced the content, scoring rules and order of the competition.

Although carried out in the name of competition, it is also an internal seminar on undergraduate teaching quality. During the competition, Prof. Der-Horng LEE emphasized that we should pay attention to classroom interaction, inquiry, and discussion, and we should position ourselves as faculty who impart knowledge & inspire, rather than as a presenter who only cares about output, to give students a better classroom experience.

The competition can further stimulate faculty members' attention to teaching activities and classroom quality. In the future, we expect all ZJUI faculty members to constantly innovate teaching methods, activate the classroom, improve the quality of classroom teaching, and better help students grow and become future leaders.
