The Steering Meeting of NKTRDP-Funded Project “Design Theory and Method of Collaborative Data Space for Manufacturing Multi-Value Chain” was Successfully Held

On October 16-17, 2021, the 2021 annual steering meeting of the National Key Technology Research and Developing Program funded project “Design Theory and Method of Collaborative Data Space for Manufacturing Multi-Value Chain,” sponsored by Zhejiang University-University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign Institute (ZJUI), was successfully held in Hangzhou. Over 40 attendees, including Vice President CHEN Wenhua, responsible expert of Ministry of Science and Technology from Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Prof. ZHAO Weidong, responsible expert of Ministry of Sci-Tech from Tongji University, Researcher HUANG Yongyou, expert of Ministry of Sci-Tech and the Deputy Secretary General of China Association for Mechatronics Technology and Application, Prof. MA Qingguo from Zhejiang University, Prof. WANG Wanliang from Zhejiang University of Technology, Prof. WANG Xun, Dean of School of Computer and Information Engineering of Zhejiang Gongshang University, Prof. LI Hanying, Vice Dean of ZJUI Institute, Vice Dean ZHANG Chong from the Research Institute of North China Electric Power University, President ZHANG Huanfen from Beijing Qingchang Electric Power Technology Co., Ltd., and respective directors of various research topics and key researchers attended the meeting. The meeting was held by Prof. WANG Hongwei from ZJUI.

On the afternoon of the 16th, Prof. WANG Hongwei warmly welcomed the leaders and experts presented at the first steering meeting of this NKTRDP project and briefed the meeting. . Prof. NIU Dongxiao, the project leader from North China Electric Power University, introduced the implementation of the project over the entire year. 11 researchers from Zhejiang University, Tsinghua University, North China Electric Power University, and Northeast Electric Power University reported representative accomplishments welcomed and accepted constructive opinions from the experts of the Steering Group, so as to further improve the efficiency of project implementation and ensure the production of high-quality research findings.

On the morning of the 17th, Prof. LI Hanying, Acting Vice Dean of ZJUI, extended warm congratulations on the convening of the project steering meeting, expressed sincere thanks to the national Ministry of Sci-Tech for its support to the institute and the project, and indicated that the institute would provide strong support to move forward the project. Prof. NIU Dongxiao, the project leader, introduced the design theory and method of collaborative data space for manufacturing multi-value chain. Four project leaders reported the progress on behalf of the respective research teams, listened carefully to the valuable opinions put forward by the steering group based on relevant reports and documentation, and answered the questions raised by the steering experts in detail. The steering group affirmed the research and implementation of various research topics and provided valuable opinions on the research, organization, and financial management of the project, which pointed out the direction for the project’s future advancement.

The project “Design Theory and Method of Collaborative Data Space for Manufacturing Multi-Value Chain,” which is subordinate to the key special project of “Network Collaborative Manufacturing and Smart Factory” in NKTRDP, is jointly participated by five units of North China Electric Power University, Zhejiang University, Tsinghua University, Northeast Electric Power University, and Beijing Qingchang Electric Power Technology Co., Ltd. The research goal of the project is to construct a basic theory of designing a collaborative data space for manufacturing multi-value chain and guide companies to adopt multi-value chain collaborative management. The research team of Prof. WANG Hongwei from ZJUI collaborates with Tsinghua University on the sub-project “Technology and Method of Collaborative Knowledge Service Engine for Multi-Value Chain,” which aims at solving the problem of constructing the engine for collaborative knowledge service in the whole business process and data space of multi-value chain, improving the intellectual innovation ability of companies, breaking through the bottleneck of key technologies, and leading the forefront of technological innovation.
