From February 16th to December 19th,David Beasley、John A. Orr——two senior assessment experts certified in international Engineering technology education(Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology, “ABET”),Michael Hirschi and Jenny Amos, ABET Certification experts of UIUC Institute of Technology, And Professor Philippe Geubelle, Managing Associate Dean of UIUC Institute of Technology, Professor Jonathan Makela, Associate Dean, and Professor Umberto Ravaioli, Director of the Office of Cooperative Education between the two universities constituted a seven-member assessment expert group came to the United College of Urbana-Champaign, University of Illinois, Zhejiang University (hereinafter referred to as "ZJUI") to carry out a comprehensive field investigation, assessment and guidance. After four days of intensive investigation and evaluation and training guidance, the expert group gave a very high evaluation on the international engineering education of ZJUI, and was full of confidence in the future development of ZJUI. Evaluation experts agree that ZJUI ranks top among the more than 80 engineering schools it has participated in evaluation.
The expert group went into the classroom for teaching evaluation, consulted the files, inspected the campus infrastructure, and had in-depth discussions and exchanges with relevant department heads, teachers, management teams, service support teams, counselors and students of the international campus.
