Recently, we got messages from the American Society of Civil Engineers(ASCE),  Prof. XIAO Yan was invited to continue to serve as associate editor of the renowned international academic journal《Journal of Structural Engineering》and《Journal of Bridge Engineering》. ASCE《Journal Structural Engineering》Is the top-tier and oldest journal  in the civil and structural engineering field.  ASCE《Journal of Bridge Engineering》is one of the most important academic journals in the field of bridge engineering, which has very few journals.

Prof. XIAO Yan serves the program director for Energy, Environment, and Infrastructure Sciences, ZJUI. His main research interests include design of structures against extreme loads, structural concrete, steel, hybrid or composite systems, structural materials, and experimental equipment development.  He's also a tenured professor of the university of Southern California.  He was consecutively selected as Elsevier  highly cited Chinese scholars in civil and structural engineering since 2014.
