The 2017-2018 academic year awards ceremony of ZJUI undergraduate was held

On the afternoon of December 27th, 2018, the 2017-2018 academic year awards ceremony of ZJUI undergraduate was held in the multi-function hall of the international campus. The ceremony recognized students and collectives that have excelled in all aspects of the 2017-2018 academic year. Dean Li Erping, Vice Dean and Secretary of Party Committee Ma Hao, Assistant Dean Lu Qiang, professors of various disciplines, representatives of administrative staff, tutors and undergraduate students attended the ceremony together.

The awards ceremony officially began with the grand national anthem. Professor Ma Hao, Vice Dean and Secretary of Party Committee of the college, named the list of students who were honored in the 2017-2018 academic year. He commended the students for their outstanding achievements in all the aspects, congratulated the students who won the prize, and expected them to make more achievements in the following study. Lai Xinyi, who was a sophomore students in Electrical Engineering, made a speech on behalf of all the award-winning students, appreciated the teachers and students for their care and support, and shared her experience in four cities during the summer vacation. She spoke about the current situation of engineering in Singapore and Indonesia, and her thoughts on the changes brought about by automation in the Nanchang factory. She inspires students that we should not only absorb knowledge and improve themselves in class, but also broaden their vision and improve the situation in the society.

In the following process, distinguished guests presented awards to outstanding students successively. The students of ZJUI have not only achieved outstanding academic achievements, but also made achievements in moral education, leadership, sports, aesthetic education and many other aspects, and made their own contributions to the development of the international campus. The number of Award-winning students up to one hundred people, which not only praised the students for their hard work, but also provided an example for them to guide and encourage students to forge ahead and pursue excellence.

Finally, Dean Li Erping made a summary speech, pointing out that students should not just pay much attention to small differences in GPA. He believes that students should also expand their interests and hobbies, and seek advantages and give play to their strengths under the unique cultivation mode of international campus. He expressed his ardent expectations to all the students, hoping that they would continue to work hard and achieve excellent results in the final examination.

The ceremony ended with a chorus of song of ZJU. The atmosphere was warm with the applause lasting for a long time.
