Recently, 17 students from the Zhejiang University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute (ZJUI), the first of the exchange program, arrived at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) to begin a one-semester exchange program.

The students participated in the international student initial education activities organized by UIUC and the College of Engineering, which included professional prospects, scholarship policies, campus safety and medical care. This introduction to the college allows students to have a clear understanding of professional learning, school facilities and campus services, which will help students adapt to their new life as soon as possible.

Philip Krein, Executive Dean of ZJUI, organized a team of relevant professional faculty and administration staff from the College of Engineering to exchange views with the students. He then interacted with the students and provided some constructive comments on the course selection for the students.

In 2016, ZJUI enrolled its first class of students. Students who wish to obtain the dual degrees are required to exchange in UIUC for a semester. These students are the first class of students sent on the exchange program since the establishment of ZJUI. Its successful start has laid a solid foundation for the exchange plans following up.
