Under the azure sky and in the crisp air, the ZJUI freshmen came from all corners of the world and arrived on campus during this beautiful autumn season. On August 23rd, ZJUI welcomed the 155 millennials with their thirst for knowledge and visions for new beginnings.

The multi-purpose hall of the No.1 Residential College was where students got registered. Staff and volunteers arrived at the hall much earlier than the students for the set-up. The registration went smoothly as the students checked in at the guide table, registration table and academic counseling table while the parents waiting at the parent rest area.

In the afternoon, Prof. Ma Hao, Vice Dean of ZJUI, hosted the Parent Meeting for the class of 2022. Prof. Ma gave parents a detailed introduction of the International Campus of ZJU, ZJU-UIUC Institute, the innovative cross-disciplinary education model of ZJUI and its educational philosophy, the selection of first-class faculties and support of first-class educational resources and so on. The parents asked questions actively during their interaction with Prof. Ma.

In the following month, the freshman orientation will start and the freshmen will receive school history education, immersion English courses, the military training and so on. The freshmen are about the set off on their journey of undergraduate life. Best wishes for each of them to have a vigorous and rewarding life here!
