Wang Yuheng, class of 2029 in Mechanical Engineering of ZJUI, his connection with Zhejiang University began in childhood, when he attended its affiliated elementary school and often visited the Yuquan Campus. He also grew up hearing stories from his grandfather and father about ZJU alumni, which instilled in him a sense of inspiration and determination.

In June 2025, Wang ranked among the top 800 students in Zhejiang Province and was admitted to his first-choice major—Mechanical Engineering at ZJUI. He chose ZJUI not only because it carries forward Zhejiang University’s academic strengths but also because it integrates international resources and enjoys a strong global reputation, making it an ideal environment for his growth.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Wang is passionate about science fiction, both in reading and writing. The cutting-edge technology in these stories not only inspire his imagination but also deepen his curiosity for science. His talent has been recognized with a first prize in the National Science Fiction Writing Contest for Middle School Students.

He also enjoys hands-on projects and sports. Whether building models or playing badminton—where he helped his team win second place in the grade-level league—he finds both enjoyment and a sense of accomplishment. These interests keep him well-rounded and creative.

Looking ahead, he aspires to participate in research projects, gain laboratory experience, and develop collaboration skills through international exchange. With confidence in ZJUI’s interdisciplinary and global approach to education, he aims to turn knowledge into practice and contribute to future technological innovation.
