On January 7th, the 2024 Year-end Meeting of ZJUI was held. Academician Lee Der-Horng, Dean of ZJUI, Prof. Ma Hao, Vice Dean of ZJUI, and Prof. Wang Hongwei, Vice Dean of ZJUI, attended the meeting. More than 100 faculty members and staff gathered together to review and summarize the past 2024 and look forward to the future. The 2024 Year-end Meeting was chaired by Prof. Wang Hongwei.

Prof. Lee Der-Horng commended the work of all faculty and staff over the past year. He also emphasized the Institute's strategic accomplishments in global relations, education, research and innovation, as well as governance and leadership. He noted that at this crucial stage approaching the "15th Five-Year Plan," ZJUI must persist in strengthening the fundamental mission of moral education. By centering on student development, the Institute should thoroughly explore its unique advantages, vigorously execute various tasks, and forge an educational brand with core competitiveness. He emphasized that the entire institute should break free from conventional thinking, establish a new paradigm of openness and innovation, and spare no effort in cultivating a favorable ecosystem for high-quality development; To avoid cognitive misalignment, focus on the goal of building an International Collaborative Education Model and providing world-class engineering education, further understand the situation, optimize resource allocation, and carry out work in a targeted manner; unburden from operational constraints, actively explore the path of innovative development with a more open attitude, sharper insight, and more decisive action, and contribute more wisdom and strength to accelerate the University's entry into the forefront of world-class universities.

The 2024 Year-end Meeting commended advanced teams and individuals who have received honors at the university, campus, and institute levels. ZJUI leaders awarded the prizes to and took group photos with the commended individuals.
During the meeting, the attendees engaged in discussions and vibrant idea exchanges regarding education and teaching, research, and the development of the Institute. This interaction fostered a lively and exceptional atmosphere.
The 2024 Year end Meeting serves not merely as an in-depth review and comprehensive summary of the Institute's work over the past year but also acts as a robust mobilization and meticulous deployment for its future development. We are convinced that, through the concerted efforts of all faculty and staff, ZJUI is bound to scale new heights and attain even more remarkable achievements in the new year, enabling ZJUI to contribute to the cultivation of leading engineers who are equipped with both an innovative spirit and outstanding capabilities. Consequently, ZJUI will steadily advance towards the grand objective of becoming a world - class engineering institute.
