On June 24, the farewell ceremony for 23’ undergraduates of Zhejiang University- University of Illinois Urbana Champaign Institute (ZJUI) was held in the West Hall of the International Campus. Academician Lee Der-Horng, Dean of ZJUI, delivered an online speech. Prof. Ma Hao, Vice Dean of ZJUI, Assistant Prof. Yang Liangjing, representative of class instructors, tutor for class of 2023, and 23’ undergraduates attended the farewell ceremony.

Academician Lee Der-Horng, Dean of ZJUI, delivered an online speech congratulating graduates, pointing out that engineering graduates should possess composure and confidence, with undeniable strength and unwavering determination, forge ahead without stopping, and take far-reaching actions to unleash the power of engineering professionals. Prof. Ma Hao, Vice Dean of ZJUI, congratulates the 23’ undergraduates on successfully completing their studies and encourages them to cherish their youth, uphold the spirit of seeking truth and innovation, and continue to make new breakthroughs in the new journey ahead.

At the farewell ceremony, Prof. Ma Hao presented awards to excellent graduates of Zhejiang Province and Zhejiang University. In 2023, a total of 9 undergraduate students from ZJUI were awarded the honorary title of "Excellent Graduate of Zhejiang Province", and 51 students were awarded the honorary title of " Excellent Graduate of Zhejiang University". Assistant Prof. Yang Liangjing awarded an appointment letter to the 23’ undergraduate liaison representatives.

Full of sincere congratulations and best wishes to the graduates, ZJUI has presented all the graduates with souvenirs such as commemorative seals and commemorative albums. Also, graduates wrote letters to their future selves, noting down their current feelings and expectations for the future.

Another group of graduates are about to embark on a new journey in their lives from Zhejiang University and ZJUI.
