On June 10, Zhejiang University-University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute (ZJUI) and Wuzhen Lab (Tongxiang Innovation Center of Yangtze Delta Region Institute of Tsinghua University, Zhejiang), Hangzhou Pangu Automation Systems Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Global Machinery Technology Co., Ltd., Hahn Schickard China/Hahn- Schickard Research Institute for Applied Microsystems and ZINSIGHT Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony in Faculty Club of International Campus, Zhejiang University. In the future, ZJUI will build student learning and practice bases together with five contracted enterprises to provide students with more internship opportunities so that they can explore the unity of knowledge to practice and improve their innovative and practical abilities. Prof. CAI Quan, Executive Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of International Campus, Prof. Der-Horng Lee, Dean of ZJUI, and Prof. WANG Hongwei, Vice Dean of ZJUI attended the ceremony. The signing ceremony was hosted by Prof. MA Hao, Vice Dean of ZJUI.
Prof. CAI Quan introduced the institute-running and development of the campus and revealed the remarkable accomplishment of the campus in recent years through a large amount of data. He pointed out that, as an important strategic base of Zhejiang University, the international campus will join hands with local forces to focus on strategic development planning, transformation of scientific research results, development of human resources and other aspects to build a "International Collaborative Education Model" and to accelerate the integration into the integrated development process of the Yangtze River Delta. He expects ZJUI to build a high-level teaching, training, and practice platform through university-industry cooperation to better promote student training.
Taking his own experience as an example, Prof. Der-Horng Lee introduced the great academic atmosphere, unique training pattern and innovative research ecology of the international campus and ZJUI to the representatives of the participating enterprises. He emphasized that in the future, we should further improve the quality of education, strengthen the integration of industry and education, give full play to the advantages of the disciplines, and create a win-win platform.

After the five enterprises signed the contract in turn, the representatives of the enterprises also spoke one by one, introducing the enterprises to the participating faculty members and students. They also expressed their intention to deepen cooperation and seek mutual development and promoted the steady start of university-industry cooperation to the next level.
