Prof. Lu, Xilin, Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering

Academician Lu Xilin is mainly engaged in the research on earthquake resistant structures, design of high-rise buildings. He has carried out more than 60 important research projects, including national major and key projects. He was responsible for establishing many technical standards and authored 8 monographs. Prof. Lu has won 17 national, provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, 28 patents, published more than 460 papers, which are widely cited by scholars around the world. He is the recipient of the prestigious ASCE Newmark medal.
