ECE 329 - Fields and Waves I

Exams will be transformed from the original paper-based format to computer-based exams in Fall 2025 making use of the ZJUI-Learn system.

This transition is to take benefit from the enhanced assessment quality and efficiency as well as to facilitate further improvement in education through an evidence-based approach.

Exam Policy

• There will be 3 one-hour Midterm Exams and 1 two-hour Final Exam in the final week. All exams will be closed book. An equation sheet integrated in the test environments will be provided during the exam. A Jupyter Notebook Workspace will also be available for computing and simple coding during the exam. Please login to the ZJUI-Learn system with your ZJU INTL ID and credentials.

• The mid-term exams will be scheduled off the regular lecture time. Two regular lecture sessions will be cancelled to make up for the exam time.

• Exams will be in-person in our computer labs. Students not on-campus this semester must report the case within the first week of class for special remote exam arrangements. The remote exam will be synchronous (at the same time) as the in-person exams.

• Conflicts for exams must be reported in advance and be approved by the instructor to be accommodated.

• Practice computer-based exams will be available before the exams to familiarize students with the exam format. Practice exams can be taken online anywhere through the ZJUI-Learn system.
