XIONG Xiaoyan

Research: Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Technology, Computational and Applied Electromagnetics, Nonlinear Optics, NanoOptics, Nanoantenna        

Research interests: 

Dr. Xiaoyan XIONG received the B.S. degree from Southwest Jiaotong University in 2008, the M.S. degree from Peking University in 2011 and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Hong Kong in 2015. She visited the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for half a year in 2014. From Sept. 2015, she worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow, Research Assistant Professor and Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong. She received the Young Scientist Award and Honorable Mention Young Scientist Best Paper Award in the International Symposium on Electromagnetic Theory held in Espoo, Finland in 2016; and the 23th IEEE EPEP Best Paper Award (the best paper of the symposium), Portland, Oregon, USA in 2014. She is the first place winner  (1/13) of the Best Student Paper competition in the 30th ACES conference held in Jacksonville, Florida, USA, 2014. She is also the Champion of Student Paper Competition of the IEEE HK AP/MTT Postgraduate Conference in 2013. Her research interests include computational and applied electromagnetics, nanophotonics, nonlinear circuits and nonlinear optics.
